In Honduras, the food delivery industry started to grow in 2018 when many foreign delivery apps (Uber Eats, Hugo, Pedidos Ya..etc) started operations in the Honduran market. This prompted Grupo Comidas to reach us looking to create their own Delivery App Platform.
At the time Grupo Comidas with its brand Pizza Hut had already the largest and oldest Delivery Program with over 150 delivery agents and more than 25 years of operation of their Delivery channel. Our biggest challenge was to re-engineer their Delivery methods and build a complete Software Solution to meet their needs.
CIT delivered a complete end-to-end solution that not only gives End Customers a unique and seem-less experience but It also enables Bip Bip administration to manage their whole operation in one tool.
CIT started development of Bip Bip 6 months before March 2020 (The start of the Coronavirus Pandemic Shutdowns). Because of this the world and specially Honduras started going thru a very big change in terms of technology.
Businesses had to change and adapt to current conditions to stay alive. Food delivery was the only way for restaurants to survive. Even now that restaurants have reopened to the public, there still are many customers that changed their way of interacting with providers for good.
CIT analyzed all this changing behaviours and with our Clients consent we re-designed the app before launch and added many features like the contactless payments, electronic signatures and a In restaurant contactless experience.
CIT Built 7 Custom Solutions for Bip Bip.
The 3 main systems are the Bip Bip Customer App in IOS and Android. The Bip Bip Driver (or Delivery) App in Android and the main WEBAPP admin Backoffice.
CIT also developed a custom solutions for their in restaurant POS system and their Call Center System where orders from Bip Bip come in and the staff can manage them.
15 departments of Grupo Comidas utilice and depend on the Bip Bip Platform for their daily operations. CIT was also involved in branding, legal, and operations of the APP as well as Trainings of all of the Bipers (drivers) all over Honduras. (16 Cities and over 400 drivers)
